Prep:
- Sanitize client's hands and nails. Push back the eponychium and clean the surrounding nail plate.
- Shape the natural nail.
- Gently remove the shine using a 100/180 Buffer.
- Cleanse with Nail Surface Cleanse and a Wipe It Off lint-free wipe.
- Sparingly, apply Gelish Dip Prep to the nail.
Color Application:
- Working on one nail at a time, apply a thin coat of Dip Base Coat to the nail. *When using a dark or neon color, we recommend applying Clear As Day or Sheer & Silk powders to the base first to prevent staining.
- Quickly dip into desired Xpress Dip Powder jar. Tap off excess and repeat Step 2 and 3. *Do not overload product. Thin, even coats of Base is ideal to avoid bunching. Dip into jar at a 45-degree angle and avoid wiggling the finger.
- Apply Dip Activator to all nails.
- Follow with a layer of Base Coat to seal the nail and allow air dry.
- Smooth and refine the surface with 100/180 Buffer.
- Apply Dip Activator on all nails and wait 20 seconds. Remove excess Activator with a Wipe It Off lint-free wipe.
- Apply two coats of Gelish Dip Top Coat to seal and create a high shine.
- Let nails dry for 5 minutes and apply Nourish Cuticle Oil to the skin surrounding the nail.
French Application:
- Prepare French Dip Container with Xpress Dip Arctic Freeze powder.
- Working on one nail at a time, apply a thin coat of Base Coat to the nail.
- Dip tip of nails into French Dip Container to achieve desired smile line. *One side of the dish for round and the other for oval shape.
- Quickly dip into desired Xpress Dip Powder jar. Tap off excess. *Use fan brush or soft makeup brush to brush off excess powder.
- Apply a second coat of Base Coat, this time over the entire nail. Repeat dip. *Wipe off excess powder on brush before returning to bottle.
- Apply Dip Activator to all nails and wait 20 seconds. *Activator will become matte when it is dry.
- Apply another coat of Dip Base to seal the nail and allow air dry.
- Smooth and refine the surface with 100/180 Buffer.
- Apply Activator to all nails and wait 20 seconds. Remove excess Activator with a Wipe It Off lint-free wipe.
- Apply two thin coats of Dip Top Coat to seal and create a high shine.
- Let nails dry for 5 minutes and apply Nourish Cuticle Oil to the skin surrounding the nail.
Removal:
- Using a Hand & Nail Harmony 180/180 Grit File, break the seal and remove the shine.
- Saturate the cotton section of the Wrap It Off removal pad with Artificial Nail Remover.
- Place the cotton section onto the nail and wrap the foil securely round the finger.
- Allow to soak for 10-15 minutes. Repeat as needed.
- Gently pull off and remove softened product. *If needed, use an orangewood stick. Do not force the product off the nail.
